Mission Statement
The ethos of No Tears Productions is to aid, encourage and inspire those in theatre, especially young aspiring Irish Playwrights seeking to have their work staged. With the group managed by an upcoming young Irish Playwright (Derek Masterson) it is only natural we understand the frustration of one's writing never getting off the page and making it to stage. We truly hope the companies support will be of great benefit to those wanting their writing to be finally seen by an audience.
No Tears are very proud of the work we have produced in the past, but we strive to do so much more in the future. With no such attempt to contain or control the ideas of a Playwright, we are completely open to any original works, from any genre or style of theatre, be it Domestic or Drama, Foreign or Fantasy, Gay or Guignol – the more diverse the better, and this is what makes our particular company a rather exciting and innovative theatre company to keep an eye on – you never quite know what you’ll see on our stage next, because it’ll always be a first, as dare I say it again…(okay, I dare)…WE’RE ORIGINAL.
With our company still growing, we hope with the intrigue of our productions and most importantly, your support, we'll uncover the next Synge or Schaffer - And let’s be honest, there are only so many more times you can stage or watch shows by Shakespeare or Beckett.
