BOUND - 2012

Bound, written by Derek Masterson and Directed by Steven Masterson was staged in The New Theatre, Temple Bar, Dublin from 14th March - 16th March. It played to packed full-houses and standing ovations each night during its run. Whilst it caused gasps, tears and laughter, it was well received and critically acclaimed. It will soon be going on tour around Dublin in late August/September, 2012.
SHOW SYNOPSIS
"Four women. Four stories. One profession."
Set in a brothel in rural Ireland, this tale of female empowerment focuses on the turmoil and inner struggles that four prostitutes face whilst under the unchallenged control of their pimp. Throughout the course of the play each woman will be forced to face up to the reality of their situation, ponder their fate, and realise the universal need that binds them.
