BREID MORRIS - DIRECTOR

Bréid started acting at the tender age of 16 and has received many awards. After taking a break to raise her family, she then returned to the acting world having completed an H.Dip in Theatre Studies, during this time she won ‘Best Actress’ for her part as Dunya in ‘The Donoghue Sisters’ in the 2004 one act festival. She is the story teller with Creature Works, a new concept in puppetteering that launched in summer 2013.
Bréid is no stranger to directing, she co directed a number of musicals and as well as directing one act plays for pub theatre, she directed ‘Riders to the Sea’ when it won best overall play at the All Ireland One Act Festival some years ago, Ladies in retirement, The Silver Tassie & A Doll’s House are some of the plays she has been fortunate enough to have directed.
Bréid is delighted to be working one again with ‘No Tears Productions’ having just finished a very successful run in The New Theatre playing the part of Marie Thornton in Derek Masterson’s play ‘A Nice Bed to Die In’ this time in her capacity as director of ‘Queens of Pimlico’ and is so happy to be working as part of such a talented cast & crew.
