STEVEN MASTERSON - DIRECTOR

Steven trained as an actor with Bull Alley Theatre Company. Since graduating Steven trained as an actor with Bull Alley Theatre Company. Since graduating in 2011, stage work has included the lead role of Charlie in No Tears Productions’ “Opportunity Knocks”, Mikey in KettleDrums “Wheels” (Galway Fringe 2012), Ladia in “Reality Shows” (Exchange Arts Centre, Dublin and Galway Fringe 2013) and three nationwide tours with Tallisman Theatre Company. Other theatre highlights include playing Richard in “Richard III” in Vienna, Austria and Leyton in “My Second Self”, for which he was nominated for the Best Actor award at the 2013 International Dublin Gay Theatre Festival. Stevens directing credits include musical productions of “Oliver!” and “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” for Clones Theatre Group, County Monaghan. He recently directed “Head In A Book” for Clover and Bee Theatre Company which premiered at the 10 Days In Dublin Festival. For No Tears, Steven directed the acclaimed “Bound” by Derek Masterson which enjoyed a sold out run at Dublin’s New Theatre in March 2012 and went on to tour many of Dublin’s top theatres. He was delighted to be invited back to direct “A Nice Bed To Die In” and he hopes that you love the show as much as he does.
